Try a haircut before you get it
Every haircut here comes with a prompt for ChatGPT or Gemini: attach a clear photo of yourself or your child, paste the prompt and get a realistic front and side view of the new cut on the real face. No stranger's photo to imagine yourself into, no guessing whether bangs will suit your forehead.
Like the result? Save your own picture and show it to your stylist in the chair. The prompts are free after a one-click Google sign-in, and a smaller premium set opens with a Patreon membership.

Frequently asked questions
Trying a haircut on your photo
How do I see a haircut on my own photo?
Open a hairstyle, sign in with Google and press Copy, or use the ChatGPT / Gemini button, which copies the prompt and opens the tool. In that chat, attach one clear, recent photo of yourself and paste the prompt. The AI returns a front and side view of you with the new cut. If one detail is off, such as the fringe length, reply and ask it to change only that detail.
Which photo gives the most realistic preview?
A sharp, recent photo taken straight on, with your whole head and neck visible, hair down and even daylight on your face. Hats, hoods, sunglasses and hands near the face confuse the AI. Avoid beauty filters: the preview is meant to show the cut on the real you, including your hairline and natural texture, so an unedited photo gives the most honest result.
Which AI apps do the prompts work in?
Every prompt is written for image generation in ChatGPT and Google Gemini, and each page says where it was checked. Other image tools that accept a reference photo may follow the instructions too, but long prompts are interpreted differently from tool to tool. Free plans of these apps have daily image limits set by the provider, not by HaircutsOff.
Will the haircut look exactly like the preview?
Treat the preview as a realistic sketch, not a promise. The AI can show length, shape and fringe on your face, but it cannot know your real hair density, cowlicks or how your hair behaves after washing. Show the image to your stylist and let them tell you what will and won't work with your hair.
Privacy and photos
Does HaircutsOff see or store my photo?
No. You attach your photo inside ChatGPT or Gemini, so it goes from your device straight to that service and never passes through our site. We don't ask for, upload or keep any pictures. What happens to the photo afterwards depends on the privacy settings of the AI service, so check its chat history and data controls if you want the photo removed.
Is it safe to use a photo of my child?
Use children's photos only in your own private ChatGPT or Gemini account and don't share the results publicly. Our site never receives the photo. Many parents turn off chat history or model training in the AI app's settings before uploading a child's picture, and delete the chat afterwards. The boys' and girls' prompts are written to keep the child's real age and face unchanged.
Are the example pictures real people?
No. The example images on hairstyle pages are generated by AI from fictional people, so nobody's face is used without consent. They show the cut itself: length, layers, fringe and the outline at the sides. Your own result will differ in face, colour and texture, which is exactly the point of trying the cut on your photo.
Free, premium and your account
Which hairstyle prompts are free?
Around four out of five prompts are free: sign in with Google once and you can read, copy and save them. The example picture on every page is open to everyone without signing in. Signing in only unlocks the prompt text and keeps your saved haircuts in one place; see the privacy policy for what we store.
What does a premium hairstyle prompt cost?
Premium prompts, marked with a crown, open with a Patreon membership: Supporter costs $1.99 a month and Plus $3.99 a month, and both unlock every premium prompt. After joining on Patreon, sign in here with Google and press Connect Patreon so we can see your tier. Plans and billing details are on the Membership page; refunds follow our refund policy.
I joined on Patreon, but the premium prompt is still locked
Sign in with the same Google account, then press Connect Patreon on the Membership page or on the locked prompt and approve the connection with the Patreon account that holds the membership. Access usually opens right away. If it doesn't, wait a minute for Patreon to confirm the payment and reload the page, then contact us if the prompt stays locked.
Where do I find the haircuts I saved?
Press Save on any hairstyle and it appears on your Saved page whenever you are signed in with the same Google account, on any device. It is a handy shortlist to look through with your stylist or your child before an appointment. You can delete your account and saved items at any time from your Profile.
At the salon
How do I show my result at the salon?
Save the picture ChatGPT or Gemini made from your own photo to your phone and show it to your stylist in the chair. A picture of the cut on you is easier to follow than a description from memory, and it shows how the shape works with your face and hair.
What should I tell my stylist besides showing a picture?
Say how much length you are willing to lose, how you wear your hair on a normal day and how much time you spend styling it. Mention cowlicks, thinning areas or a previous cut that didn't work. Bring the picture you generated with the prompt: it shows the shape, and your stylist adapts it to your hair.
How can I pay less for the haircut itself?
Every hairstyle page shows a few haircut coupons that were active when the page was last refreshed, and you can pick your state or province to see local ones. The full, regularly checked lists are on the US coupons page and the Canada coupons page. Coupons are set by individual salons, so read the terms and expiry date before you go.
