About HaircutsOff
HaircutsOff is a small independent site with one practical goal: help you pay less for your next haircut and walk into the salon knowing exactly what to ask for.
What you will find here
The site has three parts that grew out of the same question: what does a decent haircut cost, and how do I make sure I get the one I want?
- Coupons. The US page and the Canada page list haircut coupons that Great Clips publishes for individual salons, for whole metro areas and nationwide. You can narrow the list by state or province and city, or type a ZIP or postal code to see offers near you first.
- A coupon price archive. Every coupon that passes through the list is kept, so the same pages can show how coupon prices differ between states and provinces and how they move from month to month. These are prices seen on coupons, not the regular menu price at a salon, and Canadian numbers stay in Canadian dollars.
- Hairstyle prompts. The hairstyles section collects written prompts you can paste into ChatGPT or Gemini together with your own photo to preview a cut before committing to it. Each style page also explains, in plain words, what to tell your stylist: length, clipper guard, how the sides blend into the top. Take it with you on your phone to the salon.
How the coupon list is collected
A script reads the publicly available Great Clips offer pages several times a day and records each coupon: the salon or area it is for, the price or discount, and the expiry date. When an offer disappears from the source or passes its expiry date, it drops off the live list but stays in the archive. The "list checked" date at the top of each coupon page tells you when the last check ran.
Checked does not mean guaranteed. A salon can stop honouring an offer between two checks, and only the salon decides whether a coupon is accepted. If you find one that no longer works, an email to support@haircutsoff.com helps everyone else.
How to use a hairstyle prompt
- Open a hairstyle and read the description to see who the cut suits.
- Sign in with Google (free) and press Copy, or use the ChatGPT or Gemini button.
- In the AI tool, attach a clear, well-lit photo with your hair visible, paste the prompt and send it.
- If you like the result, show the picture and the style notes to your stylist.
Your photo goes straight from your device to the AI service. HaircutsOff never receives it. Most prompts are free; a smaller set of premium styles is unlocked with a Patreon membership, which together with ads pays for hosting.
Who is behind the site
HaircutsOff is built and maintained by Serhii Korol, who runs the coupon tracker, the price archive and the prompt library on his own. There is no newsroom or panel of stylists behind it: the coupon list is automated, and the prompts and texts are written and tested by hand.
